The Sources & markets page

Set the markets your store serves and where each one's prices come from, keep your channels' markets in step, and give Adorn your product costs.

The Sources & markets page

Sources & markets, in Settings, holds the cards that shape what your feed carries: Markets, Feed rules, Product costs, Performance & testing and Reviews. One button at the foot of the page, Save sources & markets, saves them all.

Settings, Sources & markets, with the Sources & markets section marked.
The question mark beside the page title opens this guide in the app.

Markets

Markets lists the markets your store serves. Each market has a Code, a Currency and a Locale, and exactly one is Primary. Most stores need just one market, so add another only if you run ads in another country with its own prices.

The store's markets, with the Add market button marked.
Add market adds a row for another market.

Add market adds a row, and Remove takes one away. For a store connected to Shopify, From Shopify lists the countries in your Shopify markets that are not added yet, so you can tick them and press Add markets.

Currencies

A market's Currency is the three-letter code its prices are in, such as USD for US dollars. Adorn checks the prices in each market's feed against that code.

If a feed prices some products in another currency, or gives some no currency code at all, the market's row says how many, so you can fix the feed or the code. A Shopify market in a currency Adorn can't show prices in is not added, and the card says so.

Prices in each market

The primary market uses your primary feed for prices and currency. Each other market needs a Price source (feed URL), the address of a feed that carries that market's own prices and currency. Without one, its ads would show your primary market's prices, so Save sources & markets asks you to add it first.

When your products come from Shopify, a market's field reads Uses Shopify prices, and Adorn takes that country's prices from Shopify. A feed URL you paste there is used instead.

Only an owner can change a market's price source. Changing the primary market's Code empties your feeds until your products next sync.

Markets on your channels

Once you serve more than one market, Per-market feed URLs lists each market's feed address for each channel.

A channel that was set up before you added a market picks the market up when an owner presses Sync markets to channels on that channel's card in Settings, Sales channels. For Meta, an owner adds each market's feed from the Meta card.

Product costs

Who can do this: Owners only.

Product costs is where Adorn reads what each product costs you, for Insights and for rules that use a cost. A cost file wins over Shopify, and Shopify wins over your product feed.

Product costs with the products two sources disagree on, with the Upload a cost file button marked.
Upload a cost file reads a CSV from your computer once.

Paste a public https link to a CSV with one row per product into Cost file URL, then press Save sources & markets, and Adorn reads the file each time it syncs your products, every hour on a paid plan and once a day, at 06:30 UTC, on the free plan. Product id column and Cost column name the columns to read, and if you leave both blank Adorn reads the standard column names.

Upload a cost file reads a CSV from your computer once. It can match only products Adorn has already imported, and the line under the button says how many rows matched a product.

Products with a cost and Where those costs came from show how far your costs reach. Products where two sources disagree counts the products with two different costs, and names the one that wins.
