What each Adorn problem code means, what it affects, and how to fix it.
Where you see these codes
Adorn shows a code beside a problem on the Store health page, in the notifications bell and in alert emails. Each section below says what the problem affects, how to fix it and who fixes it.
Products and syncing
Product details
Designs and templates
Channels and feeds
AI images
Billing and plans
Alert emails and the Shopify install
AD-SYNC-NO-SOURCE: No product source connected
Adorn has no products to design or send to your channels.
How to fix it: An owner opens Settings, then Data sources, and connects your Shopify store or adds a product feed address.
Who fixes it: An owner of your store.
Why this happens
Adorn looks at the product sources your store has connected each time it checks. This code shows when it finds none: no Shopify store is connected, no product feed address has been added, and no products have come in.

AD-SYNC-RECONNECT: Connection to your products lost
Changes such as prices and stock are not reaching your feed. Your feed keeps serving what it already has.
How to fix it: An owner opens Settings, then Data sources, and presses Reconnect.
Who fixes it: An owner of your store.
Why this happens
Each product source keeps the result of its last sync. This code shows when that result says the connection Adorn holds for the source no longer works, so the sync could not read your products.
Related pages
AD-SYNC-IMPORT-FAILED: Product import failed
Changes such as prices and stock are not reaching your feed. Your feed keeps serving what it already has.
How to fix it: This needs a fix on our side. Contact support and quote this code.
Who fixes it: Adorn.
Why this happens
This code shows when the last sync of a source stopped with an error that is not one of the other sync problems on this page, so finding the cause starts on our side.
Related pages
AD-SYNC-EMPTY: No products found in a source
Nothing from this source reaches your feed.
How to fix it: Check that the store or feed has products in it, then open Settings, then Data sources, to see which source Adorn reads.
Who fixes it: You.
Why this happens
This code shows when the last sync read the store or the feed and found no products in it.
Related pages
AD-SYNC-UNREACHABLE: Product feed could not be reached
Changes such as prices and stock are not reaching your feed. Your feed keeps serving what it already has.
How to fix it: Open the feed address in a browser. If it does not load, fix it where the feed is made. If the feed has moved, an owner changes the address in Settings, under Data sources.
Who fixes it: You.
Why this happens
This code shows when the last sync asked for your feed at the address you gave and got an error back, or no answer in time.
Related pages
AD-SYNC-BAD-ADDRESS: Product feed address does not work
Adorn cannot read any products from it.
How to fix it: An owner copies the feed address again from where the feed is made and pastes it in Settings, under Data sources.
Who fixes it: An owner of your store.
Why this happens
This code shows when the sync turned down the address saved for your feed before asking for it, because the address is missing or is not a public web address starting with https.
Related pages
AD-SYNC-MISSING-FIELDS: Product feed is missing fields
Adorn cannot read products from this feed until those fields are there.
How to fix it: Fix the feed where it is made so every product has the fields Adorn reads, then check it again in Settings, under Data sources.
Who fixes it: You.
Why this happens
This code shows when the last sync got your feed but could not read products from it, because the file is not laid out as a product feed or the fields Adorn needs are not there.
Related pages
AD-SYNC-FAILED: Products stopped syncing
Changes such as prices and stock are not reaching your feed. Your feed keeps serving what it already has.
How to fix it: Open Settings, then Store health, to see which source stopped and the code for it.
Who fixes it: You.
Why this happens
The notifications bell shows this code when a sync leaves one of your product sources with an error, once each time syncing goes from working to failing. The row for that source in Store health gives its own code.

AD-REFRESH-STALLED: Products stopped refreshing
Your feed keeps serving what it already has, so recent price and stock changes are not in it.
How to fix it: This needs a fix on our side. Contact support and quote this code.
Who fixes it: Adorn.
Why this happens
Adorn keeps a record of the scheduled refreshes of your products. This code shows when the last refresh stopped before it finished, a refresh has run far longer than it should, or none has finished for longer than your plan's schedule allows.

Related pages
AD-REFRESH-BILLING: Products not refreshing because of billing
The Billing is in good standing row says what it affects and how to fix it.
How to fix it: An owner fixes the billing problem under Settings, then Billing. Refreshing starts again on its own after that.
Who fixes it: An owner of your store.
Why this happens
Refreshes run only while your plan is in good standing. This code shows when the billing row in Store health finds a problem that stops your feed, or when the refresh schedule finds your store has no plan that includes refreshes.
Related pages
AD-REFRESH-FREE-PAUSED: Free plan refreshes paused
Your feed keeps serving what it already has.
How to fix it: This needs a fix on our side. Contact support and quote this code.
Who fixes it: Adorn.
Why this happens
This code shows when Adorn has paused refreshes for the stores on the free plan, which it does for the rest of the month once the free plan's refreshes reach their monthly limit.
Related pages
AD-REFRESH-SOME-STALE: Some products not checked recently
Their price and stock in your feed may be out of date.
How to fix it: This needs a fix on our side. Contact support and quote this code.
Who fixes it: Adorn.
Why this happens
This code comes in an alert email. Adorn measures how long ago each product's price and stock were last confirmed by a sync, and sends the email when that time runs past its limit for a large share of your products. The email names some of them.
Related pages
AD-CATALOG-LIMIT: Product limit reached
Everything already in your feed keeps refreshing, and your ads keep running.
How to fix it: An owner opens Settings, then Billing, and changes to a plan that covers more products. The next sync adds the products that are waiting.
Who fixes it: An owner of your store.
Why this happens
Adorn compares the number of products in your catalog with the number your plan covers. This code shows when your catalog is over that number, or when the last sync left new products out of your feed because of it.

Related pages
AD-DATA-NO-PRICE: Products with no price
Products left out of your feed do not appear in your ads.
How to fix it: Add a price to these products in your store. Insights, then Feed health, lists them.
Who fixes it: You.
Why this happens
When it checks, Adorn reads the products in your feed for your primary market. This code shows when some have no price, or a price of zero, so Adorn leaves them out.
The Feed health tab in Insights counts them under No price.

Related pages
AD-DATA-NO-IMAGE: Products with no usable image
Products left out of your feed do not appear in your ads.
How to fix it: Add an image to these products in your store. Insights, then Feed health, lists them.
Who fixes it: You.
Why this happens
When it checks, Adorn reads the products in your feed for your primary market. This code shows when some have no image, or an image Adorn cannot use, so Adorn leaves them out.
The Feed health tab in Insights counts them under No usable image.
Related pages
AD-DATA-NO-LINK: Products with no product page link
Products left out of your feed do not appear in your ads.
How to fix it: Make sure each of these products has a page in your online store. Insights, then Feed health, lists them.
Who fixes it: You.
Why this happens
When it checks, Adorn reads the products in your feed for your primary market. This code shows when some have no link to a product page in your online store, so Adorn leaves them out.
The Feed health tab in Insights counts them under No product page link.
Related pages
AD-DATA-NO-DESIGN: Products without a finished design
Products left out of your feed do not appear in your ads.
How to fix it: Adorn makes designs on each refresh. If the number does not go down after the next refresh, contact support and quote this code.
Who fixes it: Adorn.
Why this happens
When it checks, Adorn reads the products in your feed for your primary market. This code shows when some have no finished design yet, so Adorn leaves them out until they do. Only paid plans are checked for this, because the free plan's feed carries no designs.

AD-DFW-NOT-MATCHED: Designed products missing from DataFeedWatch
Their designs do not reach your ads through DataFeedWatch.
How to fix it: Check whether these products are excluded or missing in DataFeedWatch.
Who fixes it: You.
Why this happens
This code comes in an alert email for stores that send their designs through DataFeedWatch. Adorn compares the products it designed with the products in your DataFeedWatch feed, and sends the email when some designed products are not there.
Related pages
AD-DFW-LOW-MATCH: Fewer products matched with DataFeedWatch
Their designs do not reach your ads through DataFeedWatch.
How to fix it: Check whether these products are excluded or missing in DataFeedWatch.
Who fixes it: You.
Why this happens
This code comes in an alert email for stores that send their designs through DataFeedWatch. Adorn works out what share of your designed products it can find in your DataFeedWatch feed, and sends the email when that share falls below its limit.
Related pages
AD-RENDER-FALLBACK: Some ads show plain product photos
Ads for those products show the photo without your design until Adorn can make it.
How to fix it: This needs a fix on our side. Contact support and quote this code.
Who fixes it: Adorn.
Why this happens
Adorn counts how many products across your whole store show their plain photo instead of your design. This code shows when that share is higher than Adorn allows.
The count covers your whole store and names no template or product, so finding the cause starts on our side.

Related pages
AD-RENDER-ERRORS: Some designs could not be made
Ads for those products may show an older design or the plain product photo until this is fixed.
How to fix it: This needs a fix on our side. Contact support and quote this code.
Who fixes it: Adorn.
Why this happens
Adorn counts how many recent designs across your whole store could not be made. This code shows when that share is higher than Adorn allows.
The count covers your whole store and names no template or product, so finding the cause starts on our side.
Related pages
AD-DESIGN-NONE: No product gets a design
Your ads keep showing your own product photos instead of your designs.
How to fix it: On Templates, open your Default template's Rules tab and choose Use this template.
Who fixes it: You.
Why this happens
Adorn checks which template each product gets. This code shows when no template's rules include any of your products and your Default template is set to leave products no rule matches with their own images, so no product gets a design.

AD-CHANNEL-RECONNECT: A sales channel needs reconnecting
Adorn cannot reach your account on that channel until an owner reconnects it.
How to fix it: An owner opens Settings, then Sales channels, and presses Reconnect on the channel.
Who fixes it: An owner of your store.
Why this happens
Adorn reads the status of each sales channel you have connected. This code shows when a channel's status says Adorn's connection to your account there has stopped working and needs to be made again.

AD-PINTEREST-CATALOG-REJECTED: Pinterest turned down your catalog
Your products do not show on Pinterest until Pinterest accepts the catalog.
How to fix it: Read the reason Pinterest gives in your Pinterest business account and fix it, then check the Pinterest card in Settings, under Sales channels.
Who fixes it: You.
Why this happens
This code shows when the Pinterest card's status says Pinterest turned down the catalog Adorn sent, and Pinterest gives its reason in your Pinterest business account.
Related pages
AD-PINTEREST-WEBSITE-UNCLAIMED: Website not claimed in Pinterest
Your products do not show on Pinterest until the website is claimed.
How to fix it: Claim your website in your Pinterest business account, then check the Pinterest card in Settings, under Sales channels.

Why this happens
This code shows when the Pinterest card's status says your website is not claimed in your Pinterest account, which Pinterest needs before it takes a catalog.
Related pages
AD-PINTEREST-ACCESS-PENDING: Waiting on Pinterest
Your Pinterest catalog starts once Pinterest approves it.
How to fix it: There is nothing to do while Pinterest reviews it. Contact support and quote this code if it stays this way.
Who fixes it: Adorn.
Why this happens
This code shows when the Pinterest card's status says Pinterest has not yet finished reviewing the access your account gave Adorn, so your catalog has not started there.

AD-META-STEP: Meta step not confirmed
Until your Adorn feed is set as top priority for Image, Meta may keep showing your plain product photos.
How to fix it: In Meta Commerce Manager, open Data sources, then Configure sources, drag the Adorn feed to the top for Image, and save. Then tick I've done this in Commerce Manager on this row in Store health.
Who fixes it: You.
Why this happens
Your source settings are kept in Meta Commerce Manager, out of Adorn's sight, so Adorn asks you to confirm the one step there yourself. This code shows until someone ticks the I've done this in Commerce Manager checkbox on the row in Store health.

AD-FEED-NOT-COLLECTED: A feed has not been collected recently
A channel that stops collecting your feed keeps showing what it collected last.
How to fix it: Check that the channel, or DataFeedWatch if you use it, still has your Adorn feed address and a schedule to collect it. The Meta card in Settings, under Sales channels, shows your feed addresses.
Who fixes it: You.
Why this happens
Adorn records each time something collects one of your feed addresses. This code shows when a feed your connected channels use, or one collected before, has not been collected within the time the row gives.

Related pages
AD-FEED-NEVER-COLLECTED: No channel has collected your feed
Channels show your designs only after they collect your feed.
How to fix it: Add your Adorn feed address to the channel that shows your ads, or to DataFeedWatch if you use it. The Meta card in Settings, under Sales channels, shows your feed addresses.
Who fixes it: You.
Why this happens
Adorn records each time something collects one of your feed addresses, from the date the row gives. This code shows when nothing has collected any of them since then.

AD-AI-LIMIT-REACHED: AI image limit reached
Products that are waiting keep their current image and are picked up again when the period resets.
How to fix it: Open Settings, then Creative defaults, and raise the AI image limit, or wait for the period to reset.
Who fixes it: You.
Why this happens
Adorn counts the products each refresh passes over for an AI image. This code shows when the latest refresh passed over some because your store had reached its AI image limit for the period, which you set in Creative defaults.

Related pages
AD-AI-SCENE-ALLOWANCE: AI scene allowance used
More scenes are made as older ones drop out of the allowance period. Cutouts and the rest of your feed are not affected.
How to fix it: Wait for older scenes to drop out of the allowance period, or choose fewer products for scenes in Settings, under Creative defaults.
Who fixes it: You.
Why this happens
Your store can have a set number of new lifestyle scenes made over a rolling period. This code shows when the latest refresh passed over products you chose for scenes because that allowance was used.

AD-AI-REVIEW-WAITING: Photos waiting for your review
Each one waits in Library until you choose what to do with it.
How to fix it: Open Settings, then Library, and for each photo choose to cut it out anyway, keep the original photo, pin it, try again, or send it to a paid cutout service.
Who fixes it: You.
Why this happens
When Adorn cannot cut a product out of its photo with confidence, it holds the photo for you to decide. This code shows while any held photos are waiting in Library.
Related pages
AD-AI-USAGE-HIGH: Unusually high AI usage
AI images are included in your plan at no extra charge and nothing has been stopped or limited, so your feed keeps refreshing and your ads keep running.
Images are normally made once per product and then reused, so a number this far above your catalog size usually means something is repeating rather than that your store got busier.
How to fix it: This needs a fix on our side. Contact support and quote this code.
Who fixes it: Adorn.
Why this happens
This code comes in an alert email. Adorn counts how many times your store used AI over a recent period, and sends the email when that count is far above the number of products in your catalog.

AD-BILLING-PAYMENT-FAILED: Payment failed
If it is not paid in time, your feed turns off.
How to fix it: An owner opens Settings, then Billing, and updates the payment details. For a store billed through Shopify, the owner pays the Shopify bill.
Who fixes it: An owner of your store.
Why this happens
Adorn reads your plan's status from your billing. This code shows when your last payment did not go through while your plan is still active, so there is still time to fix it before your feed turns off.

Related pages

While your feed is off, channels get no updates from Adorn.
How to fix it: An owner opens Settings, then Billing, and updates the payment details. For a store billed through Shopify, the owner pays the Shopify bill.

AD-BILLING-STORE-FROZEN: Store stopped refreshing: more stores than paid for
Price and stock changes are not reaching this store's feed.
How to fix it: An owner opens Settings, then Billing, and pays for every store the account holds, or removes a store. For stores billed through Shopify, the owner removes the extra stores.
Who fixes it: An owner of your store.
Why this happens
Adorn compares the number of stores on your account with the number your plan pays for. This code shows on each store past that number, which stops refreshing and keeps its last designs.
